Sticky Notes

I was sitting here thinking how sometimes when I am doing my job I find little reminders on the floor that people had wrote to themselves and stuck somewhere to keep in veiw what they want to remember. These reminders (sticky notes ) usually end up on the floor at the end of the day so when I sweep I have to pick them up and put them on the desk just in case they are still important. Throughout the course of a day these little sticky notes get knocked off, covered up and sometimes loose their sticky strength but can you imagine what would happen if I just threw them away and something important was jotted down on it. What if there was an important number on it or an address that was wrote or some other important reminder or emergency or due date? When I find them I determine that the info on them might still be useful. People can be much like sticky notes sometimes and our lives that we live can be great reminders of what the Lord want and what He dont want. The question becomes after all that we have had to endure in this year (2011) and in our lives do we still have some sticky strength left. Are we still sticking to what the Lord wants and not just what we want to do. Can He find us faithful enough and useful enough when He picks us up. Everybody now days seem to have forgotten that the Lord promotes faithfulness(sticktutiveness. lol). He blesses and promotes those He can trust. Is the info coming from our life worthy to be remembered? Can He pick us up to be seen?

This Is Church

I was visiting the church I grew up in and enjoying the service when all of a sudden someone`s phone began to ring. This would not have been so bad if  quickly the person would have turn it off but this went on for far to long while the man of God was preaching. He humorously said if that aint Jesus turn it off or go outside to answer. But I remember feeling so angry and irritated by this not to mention the person did not go   out to answer. Then a baby started to cry because he could not get what he wanted and you talk about annoying, my goodness take him outside! I thought. As I sat there and notice other things as well, I still enjoyed the Word and suddenly a piercing thought hit me, This Is Church and people come because they need to be healed and delieverd and set free and restored and have need of salvation eventhough they are dressed nice and doing there best to act civil. How many times do we go to church seeking perfect people in a perfect service? Now I believe there must be order in the House of God and as well I believe that this has to be base on a real relationship with Him or else what you will have is just religion, ritual, and tradition. A real relationship with the Lord is base on love and when we have it in our heart we can be patient with others and in fact reach out and help them to know him like we do. If we do this the devil wont have so much wiggle room in our services and people can begin to grow and mature in the Lord. Where can you go and here words that can heal you, free you, empower you, refresh and restore you and give you purpose....... This Is Church.

Better and Better

It is amazing what the Lord does in the life of those submitted to Him. Testimony after testimony tell of the goodness of the Lord and how people overcome adversity and troubles trusting in Him. Can you emagine how someone`s life can at one point look so dreary and dreadful only to turn out so promising and influential. God is the reason for such a turn around in someone`s life and it is important for us to remember this espeacially with all the negative things going on in the world today. For some reason it seems we have forgotten that God is our refuge and a present help in trouble. Numerous times I have found Him to be faithful to His word without fail so personally I continue to put my life in His hands and let me say you can find no better hands to be in. Over the last two years the statements that I just made have become more true then any other time in my life because in November we celebrated two years of ministry at BDM and it has been nothing short of amazing. With all of the ups and downs, the learning, the people coming the people leaving I find God has been faithful and our future looks bright. The year 2012 will be the year of the UPGRADE for the ministry inwhich the vision will be clearer and there will be more structure and order throughout in the ministry and in our individual lives as well. As I look at a lot of the stuff going on around us today I wonder what has gotten us so out of God`s order and structure in our lives. I believe if we turn back to Him things get better and better but we must start now and we must begin with self. When a person changes he or she can influence change in others and thats what we need in our homes, communities, cities, states, nation, and world.

A Step Back

I am amazed at sometimes how quickly we forget when we become successful or better at something. What happen to humility? Often I have notice that when this happens a fall is headed our way and it hurts but it helps us to remember who`s we are. Sometimes a step back is the best step foward. How often do others benefit from our mistakes. It really shows the great God we serve who anoints imperfect people to do great things that bring Him glory and give us victory.                              

Thanks Captain

The greatest battle that you will fight in life is the battle within. There is an army of information that has been embedded from your past to fight against your present and future successes. Did you know that many times our own thoughts act as guardians to keep us out of the courtyard of our destiny? How can we breakthrough? I have found that the breakthrough begins in our minds before it can be manifested in our life. We have to open the door of our minds and allow the real Captain to come in with His mighty army of new information that never loses in battle. The important thing to remember is that if we elicit His help we have to believe in His ability to win without doubt. He will tear down every fortress of negative thought and completely destroy the cities of your past if you follow His lead. As these battles take place you will begin to notice that you are recieving the spoils of victory and an inheritance that grows time after time. After each victory we cannot forget to tell the Captain(Jesus) thanks.

More To Be Revealed

We learn that through every battle and every test there is a victory that the Lord gives us no matter the outcome to everyone else eyes. We learn that it is these experiences that the Lord uses to bring us into maturity. We learn that HE allows our trouble to squeeze us to the point that we see the need for more of HIM. We learn that He will let us get so hungry until we will almost do anything and then HE will sit us down at HIS table. We learn that the Lord can take what has cause seperation in times past to bring about unity today. We have learn that if the Lord had not allowed adversity in our life we would not have a revelation of who HE is. HE will put you in a hostile environment expecting you to do what HE called you to do because its not so much about the hostile environment as it is about preparing you for what is to come. We learn that HE is a father who takes care of his own. We learn that in Him we are the majority no matter the circumstance. We are learning NOT MY WILL BUT THY WILL BE DONE. We know that there is much more to be revealed.

Anointing #3

Just in case you are under attack by the devil just remember that you are anointed. The Spirit of God dewelleth in you so you must know that if the Anointed One dwells in you then you are anointed. Now understand that there are certain task or functions the Lord anoints(empower) us to do but even if you have not fully discovered what that is know that you are anointed and He will reveal more to you as you walk with Him. Patience is key for the child of God because before the Lord sends you He will anoint you. We must wait to be empowered by Him because the works that we do in serving Him must be GOD BREATHE. In John 20:22 Jesus breathed on the disciples  and they receive the Holy Spirit, His Spirit, the Spirit of the Anointed One. We have to be close enough to Him to feel and receive His breath. The Anointing #2

I have found in my study of the Anointing that there are different levels of the Anointing the Lord gives for fulfilling His purpose. As well I discovered that there are times when people try and function in things they have not been anointed for. Some how they have been decieved and the enemy would have them try and imitate the Anointing. When the Anointing is real life happens. When the Anointing is real there will be fruitfulness. When the Anointing is real the people prosper. When the Anointing is real yolks are destroyed. We as servants of the Lord who anoints us with His presence  must protect the anointing on our lives by staying out of the devil`s traps, tricks, snares, and games. Not long ago the Lord told me that when the anointing falls on surface that is receptive, purpose is concieved and birthed. So I find the more I walk with Him and I am smeared with the oil of His presence He reveals unto me purpose. This then gives relevance to the statement of being anointed before being appointed and David suddenly comes to mind. He was already anointed before he became king of Israel. When I look  back at how I served it prepared me for where I am and now I understand that I am a carrier of the Anointing. I read something interesting the other day that sheperds would do to protect the sheep. The sheep were often attack by ticks that would suck their blood and cause disease. The ticks would crawl into the ears and onto the head  of the sheep so the shepherd would take oil and apply it to head of the sheep so the ticks could not get a grip. Now think  about us who are sheep and think about Jesus who is the Good Sheperd and how he anoints us so that the devil can`t suck the life out of us. Glory to God. (more to come)

The Anointing

I have found that there are people who think the anointing is some speacial talent that they have to be able to do things in church or some speacial gift they have that cause them to think more of themselves than they ouaght to think. The Anointing is the pouring on or smearing of oil on someone or something. Whenever someone was anointed in the old testament it was for a specific task that the Lord had for them to do. Kings were anointed before they begin to rule as well as preist and prophets before they function in that office. Many times objects were anointed signifying that they were holy and consecrated unto God. The Anointing Oil symbolized the Spirit of God and when someone or something was anointed it meant that they or it was consecrated for the Lord`s purpose and his use. At pentecost in Act 2 the Lord poured out his Anointing and empowered the people with the presence of his Spirit and after they became a mighty witness for Him. Still today the Lord smears us with His presence, His Anointing for His purpose to do His will and to glorify Him. His Anointing is the supernatural ability to get what He wants done. In order to preach, teach, sing, pray, heal, witness etc. there has to be the Anointing of God. The Anointing is given by the Lord for His purpose so there is no reason for us to get the big head about what we do. If the leaders would learn how to stay humble we would have more Anointed leaders rather than prideful bigshots puffed up with hot air.( more to come)

The Son will shine

At the time of this write its storming outside and the thunder is really loud. I checked out the wheather report and it is all going to be over in a little over 5 hours. When it pass there will be evidence left behind that it really did happen but now its over, its gone. The sun will reappear and shine once again. If we would learn sometimes that the storms of life pass and that at some point we have to let go, the Son will shine in our life.

Baby Sees

                            

Have you ever notice how babies look up as if they see something adults can not see. Have you ever just watched sometimes while they are lying down on their back looking up how they smile and play. I wonder what do they see and why we don`t see it to? Is it possible that what they see is of the heavenly realm and it is a vision of things to come. Maybe babies see something in the heavenlies that is too mindboggling for adults to handle with our skepticism and sometimes unbelieveing selves. What if more of us adults would look up and depend more on God like the baby depends on the parent. That would create a different atmosphere in our life and in the world we live in. More happiness and less hell, more laughter and less frowns, more kindness less hate is what our reality would be. Do babies know more than us grown folks; humm makes me wonder. We depend on everything else and forget to look up from where our help comes from. YOU CAN LEARN A LOT FROM A BABY!

Salt or Pepper

How do you think people would describe you if they were talking about you today? What would they say about your character, is it the type that attracts people or repel them? This thought reminds me of a few weeks ago someone my wife and I know made us a certain dish. I liked it but wife did not because it had to much pepper in it for her so she threw it away. Just think about it for a moment, do we have character in us that make us like that certain dish and people want to get away from us. I know what your immediate answer is but really consider this; we are suppose to be like salt ( " Ye are the salt of the earth....") and season the lives of people we come into contact with. Salt preserves, penetrates, and heals. Meats use to be packed in salt so that it would keep or be preserved. Whenever you eat something you normally dont see salt sitting on top because it has penetrated the food and you just taste it. When I got my tooth pulled a few weeks ago the denist told me to rinse with warm water and salt because of the healing effect. There is another thing salt does and that is it melts cold thats why when we have a freeze salt is put on bridges and streets so the ice will melt. Now can you imagine having the type of personality and character that could help melt the cold issues in someone`s heart. Can you imagine bringing a smile to somebody`s face that usually wears a frown. We should know that we should be salt because thats who the Lord said that we are; but we can only be after he has penetrated us. Being salt it is possible you can stop someone from committing suicide or killing somebody else. Salt`s value is immense in the the world today so you choose, salt or pepper.

THERISVOICE: Mountain Climber

THERISVOICE: Think about this for a moment,there are things happening around you right now that may seem some what strange and I know you know what they are. You`ve been wondering why your sleep has been so different and you have become uncomfortable in places and around certain friends you don`t feel quite the same. Many times when the Lord is calling and moving us to a different position or place,  where we are begans to be  uncomfortable. The Lord is calling His people up the mountain in this new year of 2011. We must understand that where He is (on the mountain) there is no place for fakers and mask wearers. He is releasing much power and blessing in this season for His people and play time is over. Now is the time to determine whether you will dwell in the valley or be a mountain climber. If you are a mountain climber use your valley experiences for strenght to climb and to help others but let go of the valley. I am a mountain climber what are you?

Did you hear something?

Think about this for a moment. Have you ever knew somebody so well that you could look in their face and know what they were about to say. You could see by the expression that the circumstance created, that the next words were going to be................ According to how well you know the person you know the next statement could be humorous or it could be cursing or just words of common sense; it really all depends on how well you know them. Sometimes we anticipate certain things are about to be said because we have observed someone and we know their tendencies. Have you ever heared somebody say I just can`t hear God. They will say something like " I don``t know what he is saying to me" or "I know the Lord is trying to tell me something, I just don`t know what it is" . Could that person possibly be you? I remember when it was me and I found something out. When I begin to read and study his Word it put me in his face. I begin to look and know him by studying and meditating on his Word. This built such a relationship with Him that now a lot of times I know his tendencies and his expressions. The time spent with him is precious and is very much needed but I do remember very well when I could not hear Him. Is He talking to you? Can you hear Him?

Help !

I have notice many times when we ask the Lord for help we are not patient enough to wait on him to come to our rescue. What I have discovered is that our emergency is not  His and He is not about to panic because we are. Now dont take that statement the wrong way because He really cares about every part of our life. But there is just not a problem that we can have that  He cannot solve,however we sometimes just dont have the patience to wait on him. Another thing is sometimes we dont understand the methodology He uses and when we dont understand we abandon our help altogether. I recently had a speaking engagment that put me in front of people that I know are spiritually mature somewhat and I had to deliever what I had. A lot of those people know more than I do but there I was standing before them. I realize now it was not about the people and it was not about how long or how short the message was. It was about the prayer I prayed long before I got to that moment. Whenever we ask the Lord to help us change He allows us to get in situations where the opportunity for change presents its self then we have to make a choice. Some people are so angry and every day they have to deal with situations that make them angry. But really they have every day given to them to choose to change and that part they can`t handle the Lord does. Do we really want His help, if not maybe we shouldn`t ask.
